Courtney, her husband and two kids live on a farm in Minnesota, in a home that was originally her husband’s grandparents. She took over the EM Instagram account on April 24th for a fun farmhouse home tour.
As they’ve renovated, building a second story and turning the house into a home that works for their family, they’ve kept a clean, simple aesthetic in major design decisions like flooring and paint, adding color and character through furniture and decor. They like to look for pieces that add meaning to the spaces, and take their time selecting them.
Courtney’s favorite thing about her home is her wrap-around porch; they’ve done a lot of work on the exterior and they really enjoy taking in the gorgeous rural landscape that is what she likes to call “Valley View Farm.”
It was fun to see that life is real at Courtney’s house, and while it’s beautiful and a dream home in many ways, she was honest about life with kids: it’s not perfect, and that’s beautiful too.
