Colonial Revival Addition

To keep the space feeling authentic to an earlier time, the kitchen embraces an "unfitted" look, incorporating individual furniture-style pieces like a Hoosier cabinet alongside a refurbished vintage stove.

Beadboard and nickel gap paneling on the walls and ceiling add warmth and texture in place of plain drywall, while the primary bathroom features a custom tile pattern sourced from a historic tile supplier, further grounding the home in its period roots.

The scope included the kitchen, back entry, primary bathroom, and powder bathroom, with custom millwork details woven throughout to tie the spaces back to the home's original era.

At the heart of the kitchen sits a table built for gathering — a priority for the homeowners, whose large family needed room to come together. The custom cabinetry, made by a local cabinet company, was finished in a medium-dark stain over quarter-sawn white oak.
