Where to buy the Summer Infant Portable Booster Seat:

It’s often cheapest on Amazon, but you can also find it at Buy Buy Baby, Bed Bath and Beyond, Target, and Walmart.

What I love:

Portability. This collapses in seconds and is super lightweight (one of my toddlers can carry it, see photo) and the case has a strap on it, so you can throw it over your shoulder. It can be moved outside, across the country, at a restaurant, wherever you want it — we have triplets and we fit three in one carry on bag.  It’s also fairly waterproof so if you left it outside in the rain it would probably survive.

Easy to clean. The tray comes off easily (children can’t remove, but easy for adults) and can be washed in the sink or dishwasher, and then you can just wipe down the seats. Or hose them down, depending on what your child ate. Super easy.

Seatbelts. There is no way your child will climb out of this. Between the seatbelt and the tray fitting snugly, he or she will definitely be sitting down to eat.

Attachment to adult chair. It comes with a handy strap so that you can secure it to a regular adult chair at your kitchen table or at a restaurant. But you can also just use it right on the floor.

What I don’t love:

Color. It’s really not a big deal, but because I have three of these, it’s a lot of a not-so-pretty green, which is the only color I could find. The chair itself is absolutely adorable, I’m just not in love with the color. It looks like they are making a few shades of blue these days which are very cute. What about a good old neutral black?

Would I buy it again:

100 times, yes, and recommend it to everyone. Is it a stretch to say it’s changing the world? Probably, but it is making our lives easier. No longer do you have to cross your fingers and hope the restaurant has a clean one (or three), drag a heavy chair to Grandma’s house, or chase your un-high-chaired child(ren) around an airport. Rest easy. This chair has your back.
